HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! On Israel’s 70th anniversary, President Trump officially moved the U.S. Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. Sitting in the audience were members of the official U.S. delegation as well as political representatives who came on their own to celebrate this historic moment that further bonds the United States and Israel as steadfast allies. There were NO Democrats in the audience!
Throughout history Jerusalem has always been the capital of Israel. Since 1948, many Democrat and Republican presidential candidates campaigned promising to move the U.S. embassy. However, as soon as they arrived in D.C., they ignored their campaign promise. President Trump believes “promises made, promises kept.”
Visit my home and you’ll see a framed poster of the Israeli national anthem. Larry and I brought that poster home from Israel after visiting in 1985. Sitting nearby are three flags that says it all: An Israeli flag, a Republican flag and high above both of them the glorious flag of the greatest nation on this earth, the United States of America.
