Health & Safety – 7:13 a.m. – 5500 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – Police contacted a male subject, who was subsequently arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of controlled substances, and parole violation.
Flag Down – 7:24 p.m. – 5900 block of Fresca Dr. – Police investigated suspicious circumstances with an abandoned van on the 5900 block of Fresca and a subject who was refusing to talk. The subject was being extremely uncooperative. The subject was arrested for misdemeanor DUI and the vehicle was towed from the location.
June 29, 2018
Disturbance (Subject) – 5:08 a.m. – 7900 block of Walker St. – A male subject was reportedly yelling at staff and other subjects. Male subject arrested for trespassing and transported to Orange County Jail.
Disturbance (Family) – 8:35 p.m. – 4700 block of El Rancho Verde Dr. – The parents of a child reportedly put hot pepper in the child’s mouth. Parties counseled and agreed to keep the peace.

Municipal Code Violation – 7:48 a.m. – Centerpointe Dr. – The caller reported a complaint that gardeners were blowing yard waste onto Valley View. Police found a large amount of leaves in the roadway, but not enough to cause a hazard. Police also contacted the gardeners, and they would be cleaning up the street.
Found Property – 11:27 p.m. – 5000 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – An employee of the caller reportedly found a Washington ID card. Report taken.
July 1, 2018
Medical Aid – 2:03 p.m. – 5000 block of La Palma Ave. – A male subject reportedly fell and was unconscious. The subject regained consciousness and was breathing. The subject was transported to the hospital for further evaluation. His vehicle was left locked and secured in the parking lot.
Counseling – 4:10 p.m. – 5600 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – The caller requested to speak with an officer regarding items moved inside her apartment. The caller was counseled and wanted a log item that someone was inside her apartment and swept her floor.
Municipal Code Violation – 4:29 p.m. – 5400 block of Festival Cir. – The resident had reportedly dumped some type of chemical at the curb that had recently been painted red. The paint was reportedly now almost gone. Police determined that the curb had not been painted in several years, with the concrete chipping and it appeared to check okay with no signs of tampering.

Counseling – 1:23 a.m. – 5600 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – The caller advised that something in the apartment was making the caller cough. Paramedics were refused. Police determined the incident was unfounded. There was nothing suspicious and no crime.
Vehicle Check – 11:10 p.m. – 5000 block of La Palma Ave. – Police checked on a vehicle with paper plates and conducted a search. The driver was confirmed to have two warrants out of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. The subject was advised regarding the warrants.
July 3, 2018
Traffic Stop – 1:31 a.m. – Valley View/Orangethorpe – Police conducted a traffic stop and detained a male and a female. The female was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia. The male subject was arrested for possession of a prescription medication without a prescription, possession of controlled substances, possession with intent to sell, and possession of burglary tools.
Reckless Driving – 1:29 p.m. – La Palma/Valley View (Buena Park) – A vehicle with tinted windows and a “student driver” sticker was reportedly tailgating and swerving. Police were unable to locate the vehicle.
Reckless Driving – 10:21 p.m. – Carmenita/South (Cerritos) – A white pickup truck with a ladder rack was reportedly driving erratically and switching lanes without signaling.
July 4, 2018
Assault with a Deadly Weapon Report – 6:07 p.m. – 5200 block of Los Encantos Cir. – A subject reportedly threatened his uncle with a knife. The suspect had been drinking. There was an unregistered gun possibly in the residence. Cypress Police was requested to look into the back of the residence. The suspect came out of the house with his hands up. One male subject arrested for assault with a deadly weapon.
Fight – 9:46 p.m. – Indigo/Shirley – Two males were reportedly fighting in the middle of the street. Police were unable to locate the subjects. Police spoke with passersby, who stated they did not see or hear anything.
