“It has been an honor to serve as a Los Alamitos Councilmember for the past 4 years,” Hasselbrink said. “I promise to continue finding ways to make Los Alamitos: safer, more beautiful, multi-generational and financially sustainable. My goal is to ensure that my future grandchildren call Los Alamitos home.”
Shelley Hasselbrink has volunteered with many local community organizations, including:
- Sunburst Youth Academy

- LATV-3 Cable Commissioner
- Los Alamitos/Seal Beach Rotary
- Los Alamitos Chamber of Commerce
“Los Alamitos is a beautiful city that is thriving and has shown great fiscal responsibility over the past four years,” said consultant Chris Emami of CEC Consulting. “Shelley Hasselbrink has done a tremendous job and her leadership should be a key factor when voters go to the polls.”
Shelley Hasselbrink is currently finishing her first term on the Los Alamitos City Council. Los Alamitos is where she and her husband Kurt bought their home in 1993 and raised their two children Cooper and Carson. With an MBA from Pepperdine University, she has the skills to make fiscally responsible decisions while keeping Los Alamitos one of the most desirable places to live.
