When 63% of the voters of Irvine voted to “swap back” the Veterans Cemetery to its original location, you would think the city council would hear the people speak and make the swap back to the location that has been the veteran’s for 15 years. They failed to do as, we the people directed. A complete defiance of the democratic process.
It is well known FivePoint the Real Estate Developer wants the land to develop and make millions of dollars, some of which will go into the pockets of elected officials. They have spent millions of dollars to get their City Council members, Wagner, Shea and Fox, elected.
I highly encourage a quick glance at the FPPC reporting where we can see that FivePoints paid the Republican Party of Orange County $40,000 and the Democratic Party of Orange County $50,000. Was this payment for the resolutions supporting Measure B that was put forward by the respective party chairmen to their governing bodies? The levels of manipulation by players on both sides of the isle are simply breathtaking.
The Orange County Board of Supervisors and the City Council of Anaheim do not support the Veterans. They support FivePoint to have the veterans land and place the Cemetery at a gravel pit in Anaheim. They know it would give FivePoint a free claim to the Veterans Cemetery location. Again, defiance of We the people. They do not support the determination of the people.
And why not, there is nothing to stop them. We the people no longer have any means to expose corruption in our government. We no longer have a news organization that does investigative reporting. The Los Angeles Times has completely ignored the situation, the Orange County Register reports fake news, and the OC Voice only reports FivePoint’s side.
Justice Hugo Black: “The Founding Fathers established the PRESS to serve the GOVERNED, not the governors.”
This does not exist in Orange County, in any State, nor this nation.
Tony Rackauckas, Orange County District Attorney, has not investigated political corruption since he was elected by the Repulican party 20 years ago.
We the people no longer exists.
