September 27, 2018
Pedestrian Check – 2:02 p.m. – 5400 block of La Palma Ave. – Police contacted a male subject. It was determined that the subject had a warrant pending, and the subject was arrested for parole violation. The subject was subsequently transported to the hospital for difficulty breathing.
Disturbance (Juveniles) – 2:38 p.m. – 5400 block of La Palma Ave. – Police were flagged down regarding juveniles reportedly creating a disturbance to the rear of the business. Police contacted male subjects skateboarding in the rear alley. Party advised and will comply. The subjects left the area.

Bike Stop – 10:33 a.m. – Moody/South (Cerritos) – Police engaged in a food pursuit. Two LA County Sheriff’s units responded to assist. One male subject was arrested for outstanding warrants and resisting an officer.
Disturbance (Subject) – 2:07 p.m. – 8200 block of Walker St. – A student was reportedly detained and screaming in the main office. The student stated that he had a knife in his backpack. Teachers had been trying to restrain a student who would calm or sit down. A 14-year-old subject was arrested for prohibited weapon on school ground and petty theft.
Open Door – 11:05 p.m. – 8500 block of Santa Margarita Ln. – The caller’s neighbor reportedly left the garage door open. Police attempted to make contact but there was no answer. The interior of the residence checked okay. The garage door was secured.

Counseling – 6:19 p.m. – 5000 block of Sausalito Cir. – The caller requested counseling regarding safekeeping of property. Police spoke to the reporting party, and she decided to locate a subject to pick up the property later on. Unable to open a large firearm safe due to the reporting party not having keys.
Grand Theft Report – 7:27 p.m. – Walker/La Luna – Two juveniles were reportedly attempting to take a motorized grocery cart from the business. The parents were contacted. Incident report taken. The juveniles were released to their parents and no prosecution was desired by the business.

Extra Patrol Check – 2:50 p.m. – 4700 block of Sharon Dr. – The caller requested extra patrol checks at his parents’ residence. The caller’s brother has a move-out order and was restrained from the residence.
Disturbance (Party) – 10:14 p.m. – 5300 block of Duke Dr. – The caller reported a loud party. Police contacted the homeowner of the residence where a child’s birthday party was being held. The party would be ending shortly. Assisted.

Public Works Information – 9:14 a.m. – 7800 block of Denise Cir. – A construction crew was reportedly allowing contaminants into the City sewer system. Message delivered.
Counseling – 12:33 p.m. – 8100 block of Walker St. – The caller advised that the caller’s son was being bullied at school. Report taken.

Petty Theft Report – 2:30 p.m. – 5500 block of La Palma Ave. – The caller reported the theft of an iPhone from a vehicle that was possibly left unlocked. Report taken.
Burglary Report – 6:38 p.m. – 5500 block of Crescent Ave. – The caller reported a residential burglary. The loss was cash and jewelry. The interior checked okay. Report taken.

Incident Report – 5:59 a.m. – La Palma/Walker – The caller advised that a subject threw a stick at her car. Report taken.
Welfare Check – 12:06 p.m. – 7300 block of Spruce Cir. – Police were requested to contact the caller’s employee who had not shown up to work and had not answered phone calls. Police attempted to make contact at the subject’s residence. A neighbor stated that the subject was not at the location. A business card was left at the residence. Police received a phone call from the subject’s father, who advised that he spoke with the subject, who was okay.
