December 3, 2018
Traffic Stop – 3:54 p.m. – 5400 block of La Palma Ave. – Police conducted a traffic stop and detained a subject in handcuffs. The subject was subsequently arrested for outstanding felony warrants, a vehicle in the bike lane, driving on a suspended or revoked license, and possession of controlled substances.
Disturbance (Subject) – 9:30 p.m. – 7800 block of Barbi Ln. – A landlord and tenant both called 911 and were yelling at each other. Both parties were separated and advised regarding their dispute. The subjects went to their own rooms to sleep.
December 4, 2018
Extra Patrol Checks – 7:36 a.m. – 5000 block of Toulouse Dr. – The caller requested extra patrol checks regarding holiday decorations reportedly taken from the front lawn overnight. No report desired.
Vandalism Report – 11:38 a.m. – 5100 block of Decatur Dr. – The caller requested a report regarding a window screen that had been torn overnight. The caller believed that it was a neighbor who threw and unknown item at the window in referene to ongoing disputes.
December 5, 2018
Fire – 4:20 p.m. – 8000 block of Dabny Ln. – A fire was reported inside the home. OCFA handled the incident. The fire was caused by a lit candle. OCFA took the report.
Suspicious Occupied Vehicle – 10:16 p.m. – 5300 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – The caller reported a vehicle had been at the location for an hour with the engine running. The occupants were uncooperative with identifying themselves. Police contacted security at the location; security advised that they wanted the subjects to leave. Party advised and will comply.
December 6, 2018
Trespassing – 5000 block of La Palma Ave. – A male subject was reportedly refusing to leave and was inside the women’s restroom. Police contacted the subject, who was advised to not return per the business’s management.
Welfare Check – 7:48 p.m. – 4900 block of Malaga Dr. – The caller stated that his home was being burglarized. He stated that people from the neighborhood came into the house and stared taking things. Police determined that the elderly subject was confused by workers; the subject’s wife would contact the police if there was in fact a loss.
December 7, 2018
Medical Aid – 6:55 p.m. – 5000 block of Malaga Dr. – A subject reportedly fell off a ladder. The subject suffered a possible broken leg and was in extreme pain. OCFA responded and the subject was transported to the hospital.
Traffic Stop – 11:56 p.m. – Walker/Bransford – Police conducted a traffic stop and detained a subject, who was subsequently arrested for misdemeanor warrants and driving on a revoked or suspended license.
December 8, 2018
Fire – 11:40 a.m. – La Palma/Knott (Buena Park) – Heavy smoke was reportedly coming from the top of the building. Buena Park Police and the fire department were notified and responded. The fire was determined to be contained to a tortilla machine.
Disturbance (Neighbor) – 4:17 p.m. – 5600 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – The caller’s neighbor was reportedly yelling and cussing at a 7-year-old subject. Police contacted and spoke to all parties. Verbal incident only. No prosecution desired. Parties counseled.
December 9, 2018
Found Property – 12:25 p.m. – 5200 block of Salisbury Cir. – A silver switchblade knife was found between the caller’s condominium and the park. Report taken.
Burglary Report – 4:05 p.m. – 5500 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – The suspect reportedly made entry through the front door. The manager found the register on the floor. The loss was approximately $100 and drink.
