Suspicious Circumstances – 12:48 a.m. – 9800 block of Avenida Mateo – The caller was reportedly woken up by a loud noise and discovered that her car, which was on the driveway, was now in the garage door and the inside of the vehicle was ransacked. The caller thought that someone tried to steal the vehicle and crashed it into the garage. The Building Inspector responded and determined that the house is okay to occupy, but counseled the family to contact the insurance company in the morning to respond out for repairs. Report taken.
Stray Animal – 7:40 p.m. – 5500 block of Ball Rd. – A pit bull reportedly kept running inside the store. No owner was seen. The dog did not appear to be aggressive, but kept jumping up on things. The dog had not caller and was chasing people down the sidewalk. The dog was reunited with its owner via social media.

Municipal Code Violation – 6:21 a.m. – Moody/Cerritos – Gardeners had reportedly been working at the building since 6 a.m. The caller asked them to stop and they refused. Party advised and will comply.
Suspicious Circumstances – 10200 block of Valley View St. – The caller stated that a suspicious male subject confronted the caller and told the caller he was going to “gut her.” It was unknown why. The police were unable to locate the male. Counseled.

Assist Outside Agency – 11:29 a.m. – 6800 block of Katella Ave. – OCFA was on the scene of an assault. An extremely drunk subject appeared to have fallen on his face, sustaining several abrasions. However, he believed that he might have been the victim on an assault. He was unable to give further details and did not know if he was assaulted or fell. No report desired. An event number was given in case he wanted to file a report at a later time when he was sober.
Keep the Peace – 9:38 p.m. – 9000 block of Bloomfield Ave. – The caller requested that police keep the peace when the caller picked up a bicycle. The subject was reportedly threatening the caller and saying he was going to sell the bicycle.

Counseling – 10:28 a.m. – Undisclosed location – The caller was reportedly working on a car for a customer that only wanted an oil chance. The vehicle’s tires were splitting and ready to blow out, but the customer was refusing to make the necessary repairs.
Vehicle Fire – 11:57 a.m. – 6100 block of Chip Ave. – A vehicle was reportedly on fire in the parking lot. Another vehicle was in danger of catching on fire if not moved. OCFA responded.

Bomb Threat – 11:28 a.m. – 9400 block of Moody St. – Human Resources personnel reportedly received a bomb threat by email. Counseled.
Petty Theft Report – 2:11 p.m. – Undisclosed location – Soccer banners were reportedly taken from the premises sometime overnight.
