Harley Rouda calls on Michelle Steel to support impeachment of Donald Trump

Former Congressman Harley Rouda released the following statement urging his successor, Michelle Steel, to support Donald Trump’s impeachment and immediate removal from office less than a week after he incited a deadly insurrection at the Capitol.

“The anarchy and insurrection we witnessed to the central chambers of our sacred union last Wednesday was another step in a continued march by President Trump and his minions to supplant the fair and free election of 2020 with the installation of a fascist leader. Although these armed domestic terrorists failed to complete their coup d’état, we need to be clear-eyed about the immense dangers that still exist to our democracy.

It is absolutely apparent that we can no longer take our democracy for granted, and that we must actively fight for its survival. As citizens of this great nation, we must be focused on holding those accountable who have been complicit in what occurred.

That’s why after inciting the horrific and deeply shameful riot that resulted in the deaths of five Americans last week, it’s entirely evident that Donald Trump is a traitor to the United States of America and needs to be impeached and removed from office immediately.

With Republican leaders like Liz Cheney now supporting this effort, and rank and file GOP members vocalizing intent to vote for impeachment, Republicans and Democrats agree — this is a vote of conscience we must act on immediately.

I am calling on Michelle Steel to support impeaching our treasonous President. To prevent these attacks from ever happening again, and safeguard our democracy for years to come, elected officials must put their political agendas aside and put country over party. I hope Michelle Steel will join the bipartisan consensus and do what’s right for our nation.”

  1. Now that our Orange County new Republican House members have voted Nay on Impeachment for
a traitor, Harley Rouda has been rewarded with a gift for the 2022 campaign to retake the House seat CA-48 that was stolen from him. I have no proof of the theft, but someone in the media said it, so I can too.

I can see the ads now, are you listening Harley…. Video of Trump supporters with their Trump flags trying to breach one of the entrances to the Capitol with Capitol Police trying to guard/protect the entrance. The Trump militia drags a Capitol Police officer out of the entrance and beats him to the ground with a pole containing an American flag.
Now overlay the words, “Michelle Steel sees nothing wrong with this” Voted NO to Impeaching a President that incited this attack. “Michelle Steel is ALL IN” with
traitors. Then end the ad with “STOP THE STEEL” in CA-48 !! — How about pasting these signs all over the chain link fences along Springdale and Edinger Aves,
    “Michelle Steel – Seditionist Advocate”.

  2. Respectfully, Ms. Henderson is not correct.
Michelle Steel voted No by proxy.

  3. Michelle Steel – Profiles in Ambiguity — On Sale Now!

Representative Steel was doing a Hillary Clinton and making a triangle between Democrats, regular Republicans, and treasonous Republicans who make threats to politicians that don’t vote their way.

Except Michelle Steel turned the triangle into a rectangle by being a No Vote on Impeachment.

  4. Funny how all the democrats that have COVID because of their reckless republican colleagues managed to vote. You are a traitor and a coward!

  6. That’s not true, she voted nay. I guess if fomenting an insurrection and coming close having congressmen/women murdered won’t have your party turn against you, nothing will. Extremely disappointed in my representative Michelle Steel. Shame on her and all but 10 of the Republicans.

Michelle Steel did not vote on the impeachment because she is self-quarantined due to a positive test result for COVID-19.
