March 18, 2016

Police Information – 9:32 a.m. – 7500 block of Anthony Cir. – An unknown subject reportedly called the reporting party regarding her computer and advised that it was “offline” and that the subject needed to take control of her computer to “fix it.” The reporting party hung up on the subject, but requested that the incident be documented.
Disturbance (Subject) – 10:54 a.m. – 5400 block of La Palma Ave. – A subject was reportedly talking to himself and scaring off patrons. The subject was also pounding on a vehicle. The subject checked and was released to the care of his mother.

March 19, 2016

Petty Theft – 2:14 p.m. – 8400 block of Walker St. – A male subject reportedly stole lottery tickets and was last seen in a black Nissan with no plates headed westbound on Crescent Ave.
Brandishing a Weapon – 8:41 p.m. – Rampart/Bigelow – The caller reported that a male subject in a black Cadillac flashed a firearm. Police detained the vehicle with three occupants. A unit reported that a robbery occurred at Carmenita and South and requested Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies to respond.

March 20, 2016

Assist Outside Department – 5:45 a.m. – 8600 block of York Cir. – A male subject was reportedly screaming for unknown reasons. The fire department was staging. Police cleared the location for the fire department, which then made contact with the subject.
Vehicle Check – 8:05 a.m. – 7000 block of Valley View St. – Police checked a vehicle with paper plates, occupied by two subjects. A male subject was arrested for giving a false identification to a peace officer, and a female subject was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.

March 21, 2016

Health & Safety Violation – 12:07 p.m. – 8200 block of Walker St. – A student was reportedly selling marijuana candy to other students. The student’s parents were contacted and requested to be present for the interview.
Fraud Report – 6:43 p.m.- 8000 block of Lancashire Cir. – The caller reported that she was recruited for a babysitting job and was advised to cash a check for them to pay for a wheelchair for the party, which she did.

March 22, 2016

Disturbance (Juveniles) – 5500 block of La Palma Ave. – A group of middle schoolers was reportedly running and chasing through the drive thru, moving umbrellas to outdoor seating, and running through the bushes.
Suspicious Subject – 6:34 p.m. – 5100 block of Decatur Dr. – A male subject knocked on the door and stated, “I know you from the bar.” The resident denied knowing him and the subject left on a BMX bike. The reporting party was counseled.

March 23, 2016

Area Check – 9:15 a.m. – 5200 block of Los Encantos Cir. – The caller believed that an unknown subject hacked into her cell phone and was possibly en route to her residence. It was unknown how the subject hacked into the phone. The caller was counseled and no crime was committed. The caller also requested extra patrol checks during the night.
Counseling – 11:12 a.m. – 7800 block of Walker St. – The caller received packages in the book returns slot and requested an officer to look at them.
