According to Rasmussen Reports, a recent poll showed that a majority of Americans started out 2018 optimistic, and ended 2018 thinking the year had been pretty good:
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 52% of American Adults look back on 2018 in a positive way, with 19% who say it was a good year, 19% an excellent one and 14% who regard it as one of the best years ever. Only 25% believe it was a poor year.
The survey questioned 1000 Americans immediately after Christmas (December 26 and 27). Its single question: Looking back, how would you rate the year 2018?
