On Friday, December 7, 2018 the Boys & Girls Club of Cypress held its annual Holiday Party, sponsored by the Rotary Club of Cypress. Over 300 guests attended the event held at the Cypress Community Center, including Club youth and their families. All guests enjoyed a delicious spaghetti dinner, dessert buffet, and holiday craft activities.
While the meal was being served, all of the children were able to pick out a holiday gift at the Toys for Tots “Toy Shop”. Children also received a drawing ticket for a chance to win a brand new bicycle! The highlight of the evening was the arrival of St. Nicolas himself in a Cypress Fire Truck. Once inside the Community Center, children were able to put in any last minute gift requests, and sit with Santa Claus for photos.
The Boys & Girls Club of Cypress would like to thank the Cypress College Nursing Department, Cypress Fire Department, National Charity League – South Coast Chapter, and Cypress High School Interact Club for all of their contributions to this wonderful event. And a huge thank you to the Cypress Rotary Club members, David Eikamp, Andy Lachina, Penny Dansh, Anne Hertz, Midge Jones, Santa, Ron Kotloff, Ellen Kotloff, Randy Karsting, and Mike Gormley, for sponsoring the event. The Club could not have had such a special night for our families without all of your help!
