December 28, 2018

Suspicious Subject – 11:27 a.m. – Collins/Ivywood – The caller reported a suspicious unknown subject, possibly a salesperson. Police were unable to locate the subject.

December 29, 2018

Disturbance (Subject) – 7:34 a.m. – 4900 block of Malaga Dr. – A neighbor was reportedly yelling at the a gardener. Police determined that the disturbance was verbal only. Parties counseled.
Petty Theft Now – 1:58 p.m. – 5400 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – The caller reported a beer run from the location. The petty theft was confirmed. No prosecution was desired. A 38-year-old male subject was arrested for parole violation, an outstanding warrant, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

December 30, 2018

Prowler – 6:43 p.m. – 6800 block of Walker St. – The caller advised that a male subject was breaking into a business. The subject had no weapons and had possibly been drinking. Police detained and subsequently arrested a 32-year-old subject for prowling.

December 31, 2018

Suspicious Circumstances – 10:18 a.m. – 4500 block of La Palma Ave. – The caller reported that it sounded like someone was trying to break down the door. No suspect was seen. The area checked okay. There was no sign of a burglary or vandalism.

January 1, 2019

Vandalism Report – 2:42 p.m. – 5500 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – An employee reported that a male subject was in the restroom and left the area after graffiti was done. One subject arrested for vandalism.
Vandalism Report – 5:18 p.m. – 5600 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – The caller believed that she knew who may be responsible for putting a nail in her tire.
Vandalism Report – 10:33 p.m. – 8600 block of York Cir. – The caller advised that the vehicle had been keyed, possibly the previous night. No prosecution or report desired. Extra patrol checks requested.

January 2, 2019

Transients – 1:40 p.m. – 5500 block of Orangethorpe – Subjects who had been asked to leave the property were sitting on the wall behind the business.
Traffic Stop – 9:59 p.m. – Moody/South (Cerritos) – During a traffic stop and conducted a search of the vehicle. A 32-year-old male Buena Park resident was arrested for possession of controlled substances, driving without a license, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
