A day to create over 1,000 care packages for local military and veterans

NATIONAL CHARITY LEAGUE (NCL) District 5 will host its 14th annual Operation Valentine (#OPVal) one day event where over 950 mothers and daughters representing fifteen National Charity League chapters in Orange County come together to serve local charities focused on serving the men, women and families of our military.

(Canyon, Capistrano Coast, Fullerton, Irvine, Laguna, Monarch, Newport, North Tustin, Orange/Villa Park, Pacific Coast (HB), Rancho Irvine, Saddleback Valley, South Coast, Vista Irvine, Yorba Linda)

National Charity League (NCL) members (mothers and their daughters in grades 7th to 12th ) work side-by-side rotating from station to station creating “heart-felt” thank you cards, care packages, handmade blankets, service dog toys/treats, and much more to send to our country’s military, veterans and their families. The event initiative “Service from the Heart” includes some of the following charities that packages are being created for: Sherri’s Project, Wounded Warrior Pack, Operation Help a Hero, Homefront America, Veterans Outreach OC, Potter’s Lane, and HomeAid Orange County. The event also features a Food Drive for Second Harvest of Orange County.

This event will be held at Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County, 8014 Marine Way, Irvine, CA 92618 on Saturday, February 2, 2019 for 9am to 3pm.
