Woman’s Club of Cypress to promote women’s heart health

Kicking-off American Heart Month, the Woman’s Club of Cypress invites the community to their next General Membership Meeting on Wednesday, February 6, from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m., at the Cypress Community Center, 5700 Orange Ave. between Walker and Valley View.

Guest speaker, Dr. Donna Tomlinson, MD, MSc, a board-certified physician in preventive medicine and public health, will share tips to reduce heart disease risk, maintain and improve a healthy heart.

“As women, we often put our families’ health before our own and don’t always take the time to care for ourselves. Learning to recognize heart issues and steps we can take to improve our heart health is important for women of all ages,” said Club President Colleen Janssen.

There is no cost to attend the event, but reservations are requested at [email protected] Attendees are encouraged to wear red.
