January 10, 2019

Counseling – 6:27 a.m. – 8200 block of Walker St. – The reporting party requested to speak with an officer in regards to a GoPro camera being stuck inside a soccer goal pole at the location. The reporting party later advised that he was able to contact the school, which had possession of the camera and arrange to pick up the camera later.
Petty Theft Report – 5:07 p.m. – 7900 block of Walker St. – Approximately $85 in cash was missing out of a wallet. Both parties were counseled and the reporting party did not desire a report.

January 11, 2019

Suspicious Subject – 8:18 a.m. – Laurelwood/Marview – A subject was reportedly staggering on Erow. The subject checked okay and declined any medical attention.
Disturbance (Family) – 3:13 p.m. – 4700 block of Sharon Dr. – The caller requested that his brother be removed from his parents’ residence. Police made contact and both parties were counseled. One subject agreed to leave for the day.
Vandalism Report – 7:16 p.m. – 5400 block of La Palma Ave. – The caller reported a disturbance between customers parked in front of the business. Police checked video surveillance and a misdemeanor vandalism report was taken.

January 12, 2019

Incident Report – 9:44 a.m. – 7800 block of Barbi Ln. – The reporting party found mail tampered in the mailbox in front of the residence. Report taken.
Threats Report – 10:08 a.m. – 5300 block of La Palma Ave. – The boyfriend of another employee reportedly threatened the reporting party. The subject stated that he was going to kill and shoot the RP. The subject was seen leaving in a gray Mustang. No firearms were registered to the subject. Report taken.

January 13, 2019

Incident Report – 1:53 p.m. – 5000 block of Andrew Dr. – A subject reportedly hit the caller and pushed her to the ground and tried to pull her hair. Police made contact with both parties. Incident report taken. The subjects had conflicting stories and there were not injuries.

January 14, 2019

Citizen Assist – 7:06 p.m. – 7700 block of Valley View St. – The caller’s 12-year-old son reportedly locked himself in his bedroom. The caller requested the son be counseled. The subject got into some trouble at school. Police made contact; the subject was taken out of the bedroom and counseled.
Assist Other Department – 11:59 p.m. – Moody/Crescent – La Palma Police were requested to check the area by Cypress Police for a suspect vehicle in hit and run incident. A traffic collision occurred just east of the railroad tracks. Report taken.

January 15, 2019

Walk In – 10:40 p.m. – 4700 block of Amberwood Ave. – The reporting party went to look at a house with a real estate agent and discovered that the front door did not appear to lock. A downstairs bedroom had a candle burning in it but the door to the room was locked. Police responded and determined that there was some sort of shrine in the locked room. Police were unable to make entry into the locked room or lock the front door.

January 16, 2019

Suspicious Subject – 5:38 a.m. – 7821 Walker St. (Central Park) – Two subjects were reportedly attempting to flag down passersby. One was standing in the street. Police were requested to check the area for a possible traffic collision. Police were unable to locate any traffic collision. One subject was arrested for public intoxication, and a second subject was arrested for possession of controlled substances and possession of a dagger.
Area Check – 3:00 p.m.- 5100 block of Toulouse Dr. – A male subjectw as reportedly knocking on doors and possibly taking pictures. Police contacted the subject and determined that he was doing a fundraiser for college.
