January 18, 2019
Welfare Check – 8:25 a.m. – 300 block of 1st St. (Seal Beach) – The caller’s neighbor was reportedly going in and out of the residence, talking about people who were not there. The caller stated that he saw into her apartment and there were pill bottles over the counter tops and in the cabinets. Police requested paramedics, and the subject was transported to the hospital.
Disturbance (Subject) – 7:05 p.m. – 3600 block of Katella Ave. – A subject was reportedly bothering customers as they walked out. The caller requested that he leave. Party advised and will comply.
January 19, 2019
Traffic Stop – 2:59 a.m. – Katella/Lexington – Police conducted a traffic stop and issued a field sobriety test to the driver. A tow truck was requested for the vehicle, and one subject was arrested for DUI and driving on the wrong side of the road.
Assist Outside Agency – 5:55 p.m. – Reagan/Farquhar – Paramedics were en route to a fall victim, who suffered a laceration to the top of her nose. The subject said that she was fine, did not feel any pain, and refused medical treatment. Police attempted to get her to stay for the medics who were already en route, but she refused and said she just wanted to go home. OCFA Engine 17 passed her as she was walking eastbound Farquhar to southbound Cherry and she did not even acknowledge them.

Structure Fire – 10:56 a.m. – 3900 block of Katella Ave. – The caller reported a possible electrical fire. It was determined that there was no fire, smoke only. Assisted.
Assault With a Deadly Weapon – 5:27 p.m. – 4100 block of Cerritos Ave. – The reporting party advised that his daughter was assaulted by a known suspect using an umbrella.
January 21, 2019
Disturbance (Subject) – 5:20 p.m. – 3800 block of Katella Ave. – A subject was reportedly yelling that he was in severe pain and that it was making him suicidal and homicidal. The subject then took off and was getting into a vehicle. Police were unable to locate the subject.
Traffic Stop – 6:05 p.m. – Katella/Lexington – Police conducted a traffic stop and arrested a subject for an outstanding warrant and an additional vehicle code violation. The vehicle was released to a licensed driver.
January 22, 2019
Burglary – 2:26 a.m. – 4900 block of Katella Ave. (Cypress) – A subject reportedly broke into the caller’s vehicle by smashing a window and took two purses and $500 in cash. Assisted.
Brandishing a Weapon – 9:22 p.m. – 3700 block of Katella Ave. – A subject reportedly pulled a knife on another subject in the lobby. The subject was detained in the parking lot by security. The subject was arrested and released on citation from the station.
January 23, 2019
Municipal Code Violation – 3:53 a.m. – 3700 block of Howard Ave. – The caller reported someone jackhammering in the alley between Green St. and Howard. Police determined that Golden State Water was in the area regarding the water main.
Health & Safety Violation – 6:46 p.m. – 5200 block of Katella Ave. – The caller reported someone smoking drugs inside a vehicle in the parking lot. Police were unable to locate the vehicle.
January 24, 2019
Vehicle Burglary – 11:13 a.m. – 5200 block of Katella Ave. – The caller’s truck was reportedly burglarized within the past five minutes via a window smash. No suspect was seen. The loss was a wallet filled with $70 cash and $800 in a bank envelope. Report taken.
Suspicious Circumstances – 11:17 p.m. – 3500 block of Farquhar Ave. – The caller reportedly heard a loud noise to the rear of the location. Checked okay.
