Zydeco Design helps The Youth Center move forward

Award-winning children’s nonprofit, The Youth Center in Los Alamitos, moves forward with new marketing and branding strategies thanks to Zydeco Design in Seal Beach, a 9-year-old company based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota which serves both the United States and Canada. The Youth Center recently completed a year-long partnership with Zydeco Design, and are thrilled with what the future holds for them.

“Each year Zydeco Design provides up to $25,000 or one year of pro bono brand strategy services to a nonprofit focusing on children, women’s services, or the arts,” Zydeco Design President Nathalie Wilson said. “The Youth Center was selected as the pro bono recipient for 2018 through a competitive application process.”
Zydeco Design is a company that works with manufacturing, services, and nonprofit clients. For a year they consulted with The Youth Center Executive Director Lina Lumme and The Youth Center Board of Directors to clarify the overall message and image of the award-winning nonprofit.

“We help clients stand out from competitors using custom research approaches to create clarity on consumer wants and needs,” explained Wilson. “Our expertise includes all areas of brand experiences, from naming, identity, image systems and packaging to print, promotional, environmental and interactive.”

“Zydeco is amazing!” said Lumme. “Their recommendations will propel us now into the future. They have already made a huge impact by streamlining communications, helping us to better get the word out on the vital and unique work The Youth Center does in the greater community.”

Established in 1952, The Youth Center is the longest standing nonprofit in Los Alamitos. Although based in Los Alamitos, they serve children from 26 other area cities both in Orange and Los Angeles Counties. Their mission is to transform children’s lives one family at a time through collaborative social, recreational and educational programs. They offer after school and tutoring programs, summer camps, music education, Leadership Academy, and bi-annual educational Every 15 Minutes event.
