Knott’s Berry Farm to host Speech and Language Development Center all abilities walk

Speech and Language Development Center (SLDC) hosts the 3rd Annual Walk Your Way with SLDC event at Knott’s Berry Farm on March 17, 2019. The event, which is sponsored by Knott’s Berry Farm and United Healthcare, will raise money to support the students of SLDC, a special education school and therapy center in Buena Park.

“Knott’s Berry Farm and their staff are wonderful supporters of SLDC and our students. We are grateful for their generosity and support,” said April Barnes, SLDC Director of Development. Walk Your Way is open to all families and focuses on being a safe inclusive space for children and adults with disabilities. There is an interactive Kids Zone and Sensory Zone on the course for everyone to enjoy and the Resource Fair has wonderful local businesses that provide services for our walkers. Every registered walker will receive a commemorative t-shirt and a slice of Knott’s famous Boysenberry Pie. Registration for the Walk is $20 per adult and $12 per child- until February 11th and then the prices go up. Sponsorship opportunities are also available.
