January 31, 2019

Indecent Exposure – 8:51 a.m. – 6800 block of Katella Ave. – The caller reported a naked man touching himself in a vehicle. A positive identification was made on the subject, who was arrested for indecent exposure.
Forgery Report – 4:03 p.m. – 4400 block of Nestle Ave. – A check was reportedly forged for $266. Report taken.

February 1, 2019

Petty Theft Report – 9:42 a.m. – 5300 block of Harvard Wy. – A package was reportedly taken off the caller’s porch sometime the day before. The loss was approximately $200 in clothes. The reporting party had already been refunded and no prosecution was desired. The RP wanted the police aware of the package theft. A log number was issued.
Probation Search – 10:16 a.m. – 5700 block of Orange Ave. – Police conducted a probation search at the location and arrested a male subject for an outstanding probation violation warrant from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

February 2, 2019

Disturbance (Family) – 3:14 a.m. – 300 block of 1st St. (Seal Beach) – The caller reported a disturbance between a female and male in his underwear. The caller could hear the male yelling at the female to stand up and the female was crying. No weapons were seen. Police made contact with the subjects. Assisted.
Traffic Hazard – 10:52 a.m. – Katella/McDonnell – A tree was reportedly down in the center median on Katella Ave. near McDonnell Dr. and blocking the #1 lane. Public Works was notified and responded.

February 3, 2019

Fire – 1:44 p.m. – 5000 block of Canterbury Dr. – The caller reported that the stove was on fire. OCFA was en route. Police turned off the power to the device. Assisted.
Disturbance (Fight) – 8:29 p.m. – 6800 block of Katella Ave. – Two subjects were reportedly fighting. Police made contact and detained two subjects. It was determined that there was mutual combat over a female. No prosecution was desired. Both parties had minor injuries but refused medics.

February 4, 2019

Counseling – 11:37 a.m. – 5600 block of Orange Ave. – The reporting party requested counseling a scam in which the RP was out $1000. Counseled.
Vehicle Fire – 1:02 p.m. – 6000 block of Katella Ave. – A vehicle was reportedly on fire at the bus stop. The fire was extinguished and the subject had a tow truck en route. Assisted.

February 5, 2019

Transient – 6:25 a.m. – 5275 Orange Ave. (Cypress Civic Center) – A male subject was reportedly being loud near the City Council Chambers. Police contacted the subject, who was subsequently arrested for a no-bail probation violation warrant for aggravated assault out of the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Petty Theft Report – 11:18 a.m. – 6800 block of Katella Ave. – Ten video game controllers valued at $740 were reportedly taken from the business. Video and a report were ready for pickup. Report taken.

February 6, 2019

Petty Theft Report – 10:50 p.m. – 4000 block of Ball Rd. – The caller reported the loss of a blood pressure monitor valued at $105. The supervisor had a picture of the suspect. Police were unable to locate the subject. Report taken.
Brandishing a Weapon – 5:24 p.m. – 6800 block of Katella Ave. – A suspect reportedly attempted to cash out a gift card. When confronted, the suspect reportedly brandished a knife. Report taken.
