Centralia School District’s Jan Gandola named School Hero by Parenting OC magazine

Centralia School District is proud to announce Special Education Instructional Assistant Jan Gandola as a School Hero by Parenting OC Magazine.

OC Parenting Magazine honored 25 teachers, 25 school employees and 10 family favorite finalists from Orange County at their 2019 School Heroes Awards Reception at the Bowers Museum, sponsored by Schools First Federal Credit Union.

Ms. Gandola was honored to be in the top 10 of the school employees recognized and will appear in the March edition
of Parenting OC Magazine.

“Centralia School District is fortunate to have Ms. Gandola,” said Norma Martinez, Superintendent. “She has a quiet, calm, confident demeanor that is beneficial when working with special education students. Never harsh or impatient, she handles the toughest situations with grace, gently guiding students, supporting them, keeping them safe and caring for their well-being.”

The Centralia School District is located in beautiful Southern California in the northern part of Orange County, between Los Angeles and San Diego counties. Centralia School District was established in 1875 and today, the district's eight elementary schools are located in the cities of Buena Park, Anaheim and La Palma, serving approximately 4,400 students.
