For the record: I think Mr. Kaepernick’s protest should have been roundly ignored. As for his future employment prospects, he should be evaluated on his skills as a professional football player. I am not qualified to rate him, but Muthead says that he is (or was) a scrambling quarterback who can throw a tight spiral but doesn’t handle pressure well and doesn’t do well in the clutch.
None of that has likely improved during his time off the field.
