February 7, 2019

Assist Outside Agency – 10:37 a.m. – Reefton/Tarawa – Cypress Police responded to assist Orange County Sheriff’s deputies with a stolen work truck. The subject was taken into custody by deputies. OCFA was requested for a small vehicle fire. Police performed containment of the park to prevent pedestrians from accessing it and checked the area for any signs of a traffic collision.
Disturbance (Music) – 8:06 p.m. – 6300 block of Lincoln Ave. – Loud music was reportedly coming from the location, and juveniles were possibly smoking marijuana. Police requested OCFA respond since there was a large crowd inside the location and the door was locked. An incident report was taken and OCFA performed a follow-up for numerous fire code violations.

February 8, 2019

Suspicious Subject – 7:19 a.m. – 5900 block of Cerritos Ave. – A subject was reportedly yelling and pointing at the sky, talking about aliens. The caller was concerned that he was under the influence.
Burglary Report – 5:18 p.m. – 5100 block of Ball Rd. – The reporting party received a call from her gardener that there was a window smash at the location. Responding police confirmed the window smash on a vacant commercial building. Police conducted an interior search. The damage to the window was valued at $1000. There was no other loss and no suspect information. Report taken.

February 9, 2019

Petty Theft Report – 3:18 p.m. – 5200 block of Oxford Dr. – The caller reported that a computer and a copy machine were missing from inside the residence. Police determined that there was no crime. The reporting party said that his brother was cleaning out the garage and getting rid of trash. The brother was not present at the time of the police response. The reporting party would call back so police could speak with the brother. Counseled.
Public Works Information – 8:53 p.m. – Orange/Juanita – A message was left for Public Works to clean up a car bumper from a previous traffic collision.

February 10, 2019

Counseling – 3:29 p.m. – 8000 block of Acacia St. – The reporting party’s social media password was changed. A log item was issued.
Vandalism Report – 11:18 p.m. – 8800 block of LaSalle St. – The caller reportedly arrived at home to find a rear bedroom window broken and damage inside his bedroom. The caller believed that an ex-girlfriend was responsible. The damage to the window was valued at approximately $100. Paint cans and cleaning supplies were thrown through the window and landed on the bed and paint spilled onto the sheets but could be cleaned without permanent damage. The reporting party was counseled regarding a restraining order. No report desired.

February 11, 2019

Counseling – 5:46 p.m. – 4300 block of Dina Ct. – The reporting party reportedly made purchases from a furniture business that cashed her checks and had not delivered items. Counseled.
Traffic Stop – 9:54 p.m. – Lincoln/Valley View – Following a traffic stop, police arrested a subject for an outstanding misdemeanor warrant. The subject was released on citation.

February 13, 2019

Grand Theft Report – 2:17 p.m. – 6500 block of Katella Ave. – A company credit card was reportedly fraudulently obtained by a suspect in Florida, who subsequently made extensive purchases there. Report taken.
Grand Theft Report – 5:11 p.m. – 9200 block of Bloomfield Ave. – A suspect reportedly cut the straps and locks used to secure the reporting party’s tools in the bed of his truck between 8:30 p.m. and 6 a.m. The loss included a Husky tool set, cordless drill, batteries, battery charger, light, and wrenches. There were no cameras or suspect information. No report desired.
