Lassos up laughs and awe with Cirque Éloize – Saloon at the CCPA on Friday, March 29

Swing open the saloon doors and lasso up some fun for the entire family with the musical and acrobatic adventure Cirque Éloize – Saloon at the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts (CCPA) on Friday, March 29, 8:00 PM. With four musicians and singers on stage, all the artists sing or play instruments. Canada’s The Globe and Mail declared: The “Montreal-based Cirque Éloize is one of Canada’s national treasures!” London’s The Stage called the production “Cirque Du Soleil’s hipper, sexier cousin.”

Inspired by the rich legacy of the Wild West, CIRQUE ÉLOIZE – SALOON transports audiences to a saloon in a dusty little desert town dancing with the infectious energy of Folk music and acrobatic comedy. The stage sizzles with infectious energy and phenomenal physical feats as 11 top-level cast members perform classic Old West songs from Patsy Cline and Johnny Cash in this family-friendly cutting-edge production.

That winning formula seems to have worked for the Western-themed, circus-theater extravaganza, which has traveled the world presenting more than 4,000 performances in 500 cities and 50 countries in the last 24 years.

The Hartford Courant raves, “Everything’s a bit ‘off,’ gloriously so, in this weird blend of history, pop culture, folklore, fantasy, gymnastic precision and general circus wonderment.”
