Many veterans separated from active duty within the last 48 months have upgraded their skills with the Veterans’ Employment-Related Assistant Program (VEAP) through a grant from EDD to Orange County One-Stop Center.
Train to obtain employment in exciting industries including healthcare, government, education, and professional and business services.
VEAP services include:
- Short-term vocational training or on-the-job training
- Assistance with transitioning from military to civilian employment
- Assessment of skills and interest
- Career guidance and exploration
- Job skill development (i.e. interview preparation, resume development, networking)
- Job placement assistance
- Follow-up services to facilitate job retention
