February 19, 2019

Counseling – 2:36 p.m. – Undisclosed location – The reporting party requested to speak with an officer regarding an RV parked on Conifer. The reporting party believed that drug activity was taking place in it.

February 20, 2019

Petty Theft Report – 6:14 p.m. – 4900 block of La Palma Ave. – A female reportedly came into the store and stolen carbon fishing line valued at approximately $100. Report taken.
Counseling – 6:34 p.m. – 5600 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – Counseling was requested regarding unlawful recording.

February 21, 2019

Transient – 1:00 p.m. – 8000 block of Bluebird Ln. – The caller reported a transient laying on a lawn. Police contacted the subject and determined that he was not a transient. The subject worked for a tree cutting service and was waiting for a ride.
Traffic Hazard – 2:41 p.m. – Moody/Sharon – A large tumbleweed was reportedly on the Edison right-of-way west of Moody/Sharon. The tumbleweed was approximately four feet tall and three feet wide. The tumbleweed was secured and Public Works notified.

February 22, 2019

Identity Theft Report – 10:49 a.m. – 7100 block of Caprice Cir. – Fraudulent Accounts were reportedly opened using the reporting party’s information. The RP discovered this on the credit report. Report taken.
Counseling – 12:34 p.m. – 8200 block of Walker St. – A student reportedly told a school psychologist that she gave personal information and made inappropriate comments to adult men online. Since the incident occurred in Cypress, the reporting party was advised to report the incident to the Cypress Police Department.

February 23, 2019

Grand Theft Report – 12:31 p.m. – 4700 block of Sharon Dr. – The caller reported the loss of wallets, two Rolex watches and an Omega watch. Police determined that the grand theft was unfounded. Follow-up was required for a possible civil matter.
Traffic Stop – 1:38 p.m. – Orangethorpe/Walker – Police conducted a traffic stop and subsequently arrested a 45-year-old Whittier resident for driving on a license suspended or revoked for DUI, giving a false identity to a peace officer and an outstanding felony wawrrant.

February 24, 2019

Disturbance (Subject) – 11:43 a.m. – Centerpointe Dr. – A female subject was reportedly throwing food items and rocks towards a security officer. Police arrested a 38-year-old Boston, Massachusetts resident for assault and battery.
Grand Theft – 3:48 p.m. – 5000 block of Sharon Dr. – The caller reported that a female subject possibly went inside of a home while the homeowners were in front of the residence. The loss was a laptop. Police located and detained a female subject, who was subsequently arrested for burglary and receiving/concealing stolen property.

February 25, 2019

Petty Theft – 12:43 p.m. – 5400 block of La Palma Ave. – A female subject reportedly left the store without paying. The subject was arrested for removal of a shopping cart, resisting an officer, petty theft, and receiving/concealing stolen property.
Petty Theft Report – 6:33 p.m. – 5400 block of Bransford Dr. – The reporting party reported the loss of loose change, clothes, and valued at $200 from a vehicle.
Burglary Report – 7:08 p.m. – 7700 block of Valley View St. – A window smashed reportedly occurred to the bottom floor bedroom. Burglary report taken.
