No rain today means a trip to Cypress Farmer’s Market

As my husband began battling our vigorously overgrown lawns brought on by all the rain, my daughter and I ran off to the Cypress Farmer’s Market.

With a brisk cool wind shoving decorative white bumpy clouds across the sky, we had fun browsing for fresh veggies, herbs, fruits, and baked goods. Our loot is shown below. Yes, those strawberries are as good as they look!

(The flower arrangement in the back is by Forest Lawn’s flower shop. It was a center piece at Wednesday’s Cypress Chamber student business-mentor breakfast. Watch for an article about the breakfast, and about Cypress Chamber happenings, coming on Sunday afternoon.)

We were happy to find an apple turnover and two kinds of tarts that qualify the Cypress Farmer’s Market for a mention on Pi Day (March 14), next Thursday.

The Cypress Farmer’s Market is every Saturday beginning around 9 a.m., weather permitting, in the south parking lot of Cottonwood Church at corner of Katella Ave. and Lexington Dr.
