INTERNATIONAL JAZZ DAY brings together communities, schools, artists, historians, academics, and jazz enthusiasts all over the world to celebrate and learn about jazz and its roots, future and impact; raise awareness of the need for intercultural dialogue and mutual understanding; and reinforce international cooperation and communication.
On and around April 30th every year, this international art form is recognized for promoting peace, dialogue among cultures, diversity, and respect for human rights and human dignity; eradicating discrimination; promoting freedom of expression; fostering gender equality; and reinforcing the role of youth in enacting social change.
DAYREN SANTAMARIA & MADE IN CUBA BAND will perform at 7:00 p.m. FRIDAY, April 26, 2019 at The Plaza at Ehlers Event Center, 8150 Knott Avenue, Buena Park. General admission is $21.
ABOUT DAYREN SANTAMARIA & MADE IN CUBA BAND!
Dayren Santamaria was fated to be an entertainer. Born in Matanzas, Cuba this virtuoso Afro-Cuban violinist’s passion for music has taken her on a journey around the world and across musical styles. Her band Dayren Santamaria & Made in Cuba is comprised of Grammy winners and recording artists Oscar Hernandez (Piano), Raul Pineda (Drums/Timbales), Joey De Leon (Congas/Vocals), Alfred Ortiz (Vocals/Percussion), and Ross Schodek (Bass). They perform in the Southland and all around the world.

$21 General Admission. Beer, wine, soft drinks, burger slider plates, and sweet treats will be available for purchase. Buy your tickets early – this event is expected to sell out. Tickets are available for purchase online at BuenaPark.com, in person at the Buena Park Community Center at 6688 Beach Boulevard, and at the box office one hour before show time, at 6:00 p.m.
