February 26, 2019

Counseling – 8:05 a.m. – 5600 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – The caller stated that a bruise appeared on the caller’s stomach overnight and was caused by someone entering the apartment. There were no signs of forced entry and surveillance footage did not show entry by anyone. The reporting party was advised to contact a health care provider regarding the bruise.
Traffic Hazard – 12:14 p.m. – 8100 block of Walker St. – Debris was reportedly in the northbound lane of traffic. The roadway was cleared.

February 27, 2019

Area Check – 11:46 a.m. – Centerpointe Dr. – A possible stolen vehicle was reportedly parked overnight at the location. The vehicle checked okay and the reporting party was advised.
Suspicious Subject – 5:21 p.m. – 7900 block of Valley View St. (Buena Park) – A subject was reportedly seen checking vehicle handles. No crime was determined. Checked okay.

February 28, 2019

Petty Theft Report – 7:53 a.m. – 7700 block of Bouma Cir. – The reporting party reported a vehicle ransack with the loss of a car manual, registration, and insurance. Report taken.
Stolen Vehicle Recovery – 9:27 p.m. – 5100 block of Stratford Cir. – A towing company reported that a vehicle they been requested to tow had been at the location for eight days and was stolen out of the jurisdiction of Ontario Police Department. The registered owner was notified.

March 1, 2019

Health & Safety – 12:09 p.m. – 5400 block of La Palma Ave. – Possible methamphetamine was reportedly located and was at Loss Prevention. Report taken.
Traffic Collision – 6:47 p.m. – 7700 block of Valley View St. – Police responded to a traffic accident with a possible DUI driver involved. A Punjabi translator was requested. OCFA responded for one driver who had diabetes. A 53-year-old La Palma resident was arrested for misdemeanor DUI. The vehicle was left in the possession of the subject’s wife. A blood technician was requested, and the subject was subsequently released on cite.

March 2, 2019

Found Property – 11:37 a.m. – 5000 block of Malaga Dr. – The caller’s neighbor reportedly found a knife near the residence. Report taken.
Suspicious Subject – 5:27 p.m. – 5600 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – A male subject on a bike was reportedly holding a chainsaw. Police were unable to locate the subject.

March 3, 2019

Transient – 3:25 a.m. – 7900 block of Walker St. – A homeless subject who had been discharged and was asked to leave was refusing to leave and creating a disturbance in the lobby.
Assist Other Department – 4:02 p.m. – Orangethorpe/Centerpointe – OCFA was on scene for a vehicle fire and requested police assistance. The fire was extinguished and the vehicle removed via private party tow.
Disturbance (Family) – 10:10 p.m. – 5300 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – The caller reported a verbal disturbance between father and daughter in the apartment. Police made contact and determined that no crime had taken place. Both parties were counseled.
Traffic Stop – 11:48 p.m. – Moody/South (Cerritos) – Following a traffic stop, police arrested a 33-year-old Moreno Valley resident for driving on a license suspended or revoked for DUI and possession of controlled substances.
