World Famous Budweiser Clydesdales to visit 2nd Street in Long Beach

The World Famous Budweiser Clydesdales are visiting 2nd Street in Long Beach on Saturday, March 30, 2019. The event will run on 2nd Street from noon to 2 p.m. 2PM to 4PM.

The full team will start with a stop at Panama Joe’s, then a photo opportunity and Legends Sports Bar and then proceed to Dogz, Riley’s and Shannon’s, finishing at Quinn’s Pub.

The Budweiser Clydesdales made their first-ever appearance on April 7, 1933. A gift from August A. Busch, Jr. and Adolphus Busch to their father in celebration of the repeal of Prohibition, the presentation of the original two six-horse hitches of champion Clydesdales moved father, sons and drivers to tears. The phrase “crying in your beer” was officially coined shortly thereafter.

They heralded a new era of prosperity for Anheuser-Busch, and a weary nation’s return to optimism. From their first appearance in 1933 to their enduring presence on the American landscape, the Clydesdales are more than the symbol of Budweiser beer; they are the living embodiment of America’s great industrial spirit.

This is a great opportunity to see these magnificent animals close-up and to learn about their history!
