March 8, 2019

Transient – 4:21 a.m. – 3500 block of Katella Ave. – A male subject was reportedly dancing in the street, carrying a suitcase, bag, and a bucket of paint. The subject was making employees nervous since they weren’t open yet. Checked okay.
Disturbance (Subject) – 9:09 a.m. – 11000 block of Los Alamitos Blvd. – A female subject was reportedly screaming inside the location. The previous week, she stole trash cans from the restroom. Police were unable to locate the subject.

March 9, 2019

Disturbance (Noise) – 4:58 a.m. – 10000 block of Los Alamitos Blvd. – The caller reported construction noises with beeping and moving of dumpsters.
Petty Theft – 6:54 p.m. – 4000 block of Ball Rd. – A subject attempted to steal beer from the location. The beer was dropped outside of the store. The caller still requested prosecution for attempted theft, and for the subject to be advised regarding trespassing.

March 10, 2019

Disturbance – 9:09 p.m. – 10000 block of Los Alamitos Blvd. – A subject reportedly broke the gas nozzle and refused to give his name and driver’s license per corporate policy. There was no license plate information and the subject paid in cash.

March 11, 2019

Petty Theft – 3:11 p.m. – 12000 block of Seal Beach Blvd. (Seal Beach) – A male subject was reportedly assaulting the manager. The loss was fragrance. The subject left in a blue Mercedes towards Seal Beach Blvd. Police determined that the accusation of assault was exaggerated by a witness. Police conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle. A Taser was deployed. Paramedics were requested. Two subjects detained for robbery. Positive identification was made. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
Identity Theft – 3:21 p.m. – 4300 block of Howard Ave. – The reporting party advised that two accounts were opened at the bank using her information from her San Diego residence. The bank froze the accounts and are investigating. There was no loss reported. A third possible account was attempted to be opened at unkown location for American Express card. The account was frozen. The reporting party contacted the 3 major credit unions and an alert has been set up to deny any other accounts opened. A log item was issued.

March 12, 2019

Traffic Hazard – 9:03 a.m. – 11000 block of Los Alamitos Blvd. – A male subject in a wheelchair was reportedly talking to a female subject in a vehicle. The caller thought that the subjects were causing a traffic hazard. Party advised and will comply.
Disturbance (Subject) – 8:28 p.m. – 10000 block of Los Alamitos Blvd. – A possibly mentally disturbed subject was creating a disturbance inside the store. Subject arrested for drug paraphernalia.

March 13, 2019

Traffic Hazard – 3:21 p.m. – Los Alamitos/Katella – Subjects with signs collecting money for childhood leukemia were reportedly walking out into lanes of traffic. Party advised and will comply.

March 14, 2019

Patrol Check – 6:08 a.m. – Dana/Katella – Vehicles were reportedly heard racing and doing donuts. Police were unable to locate the vehicles.
Petty Theft – 1:39 p.m. – 3900 block of Katella Ave. – Police contacted the reporting party in regards to her money allegedly being taken by ultrasound Tech when she went to use the restroom to empty her bladder before the scan. She stated that she went to a restaurant prior to the appointment, paid her bill and then left the restaurant. She claimed that she had approximately $120.00 in her purse when she left the restaurant.
Police contacted the technician, who stated that the reporting party came for her appointment, but before she can scan she needed to empty her bladder. The reporting party went into the restroom for approximately 30 seconds then came back in to complete the scan. They were in the room together for approximately 15 minutes with no issues.
The reporting party then left the building to pay for her parking and looked into her purse and discovered the $120.00 she had earlier was missing. The manager and supervisor searched the room with and was not able to locate the missing money claimed by both parties consented to a police search of their purses, and police were unable to locate the money. No evidence of theft.

March 15, 2019

Property Destruction – 7:22 p.m. – 3201 Katella Ave. (Los Alamitos Police Department) – The reporting party had marine flares for destruction. The RP was advised to take the flares to Huntington Beach Police Department, which services the city in which she resides.
