March 4, 2019

Incident Report – 1:14 p.m. – Centerpointe Dr. – The caller requested to speak with an officer regarding a subject who was reporteldyr efusing to leave the property.
Assist Other Department – 8:40 a.m. – 7700 block of Furman Rd. – An electrical panel was reportedly smoking in the front office. The students were evacuated from the building. OCFA responded and determined that the problem was caused by the A/C system, which was shut off.

March 5, 2019

Petty Theft Report – 8:56 a.m. – 5400 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – Property was reportedly stolen from an unlocked vehicle. The loss included a manual, paperwork, driver’s license, and credit cards. Report taken.
Pedestrian Check – 11:05 p.m. – 5900 block of La Palma Ave. – Following a pedestrian check, police detained and then arrested a 33-year-old Norwalk resident for possession of drug paraphernalia and an outstanding misdemeanor warrant. The subject was released on cite.

March 6, 2019

Assault/Battery Report – 12:50 a.m. – 7700 block of Linda Ln. – The caller reported a physical disturbance between the caller and his soon-to-be ex-girlfriend. Both parties had been drinking. Police arrested a 26-year-old Cypress resident for spousal abuse. Report taken.
Grand Theft Report – 8:39 a.m. – 5600 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – Property was reportedly stolen from a possibly unlocked vehicle overnight. The loss included a laptop, dash cam, phone charger, and clothing, valued together at $1,770. Report taken.
Vehicle Tampering Report – 5:29 p.m. – 8100 block of Ainsworth Ln. – A tailgate was reportedly stolen off a vehicle while it was parked in the driveway of the residence. Report taken.

March 7, 2019

Vehicle Burglary Report – 8:02 a.m. – 8600 block of Santa Margarita Ln. – A locked vehicle was reportedly broken into overnight, with the front passenger window shattered. The loss was unknown. Burglary report taken.
Citizen Assist – 12:28 p.m. – 5500 block of La Palma Ave. – An elderly female reportedly wanted to withdraw $5000 from her account to send oversees. The female did not withdraw the funds and was scheduled to meet the subjects. Police accompanied her to the meeting. The other parties never showed up and the elderly female realized that it was a scam.

March 8, 2019

Municipal Code Violation – 6:24 a.m. – 5400 block of La Palma Ave. – A truck in the loading dock was reportedly pumping grease. Cited.

March 9, 2019

Fraud/Forgery Report – 10:26 a.m. – 5800 block of Thelma Ave. – The caller reported fraudulent charges on three bank accounts for a total loss of approximately $16,455.
Suspicious Subject – 10:31 p.m. – La Luna/El Pescador – The caller advised that a male subject stopped in front of his neighbor’s residence. Police located the subject and determined that the subject lived in the area.

March 10, 2019

Disturbance (Family) – 12:43 p.m. – 7500 block of Black Star Ln. – The caller advised that the parents were physically fighting and throwing items. A 55-year-old subject was arrested for domestic battery.
Disturbance (Subject) – 1:51 p.m. – 5400 block of La Palma Ave. – The caller reported a disturbance with a male subject inside the business. Police engaged in a pursuit. Following a traffic stop, police arrested a 65-year-old Cypress resident for evading and vandalism (damage over $400).
Disturbance (Subject) – 6:57 p.m. – 5000 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – A homeless subject was reportedly yelling at customers. The subject was gone on the arrival of police.
