Today, the Sedgwick for Congress campaign announced endorsements from the entire Laguna Hills City Council. Mayor Dore Gilbert, Mayor Pro Tem Janine Heft, Councilmembers Erica Pezold and Dave Wheeler, as well as former Laguna Hills Mayor Joe Lautenschleger and the city’s first Mayor, Melody Carruth, unanimously endorsed Don Sedgwick for Congressional District 45.
In offering his endorsement Laguna Hills Mayor Dore Gilbert said, “I’ve worked with Don on the Laguna Hills Council and have found him to be a highly principled leader who never hesitates to do the right thing. Don will be a strong voice for Orange County families in Washington. I proudly endorse Don Sedgwick for Congress.”
Don Sedgwick said, “It means so much to me that those who know me the best stand with me first.”
He continued, “I will take our fight to Washington and continue to confront our County’s toughest challenges… reducing veteran homelessness, addressing spiraling healthcare costs and pushing back against Sacramento’s out of control policies that make our neighborhoods less safe.”
