Rossmoor Woman’s Club supports reading initiative through book donation to Long Beach Day Nursery

Rossmoor Woman’s Club President Maggie Paul and members Sandy Tessier and Susan Denley visited the Long Beach Day Nursery on April 3 to deliver Dr. Seuss books that club members donated as part of a multi-year reading initiative of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs. The RWC plans to continue collecting and distributing books to children’s organizations for the next year.

Established in 1912, the Long Beach Day Nursery is the oldest licensed child care facility in Long Beach and one of the oldest in California. The nursery has two facilities, located in East and West Long Beach, and cares for babies, toddlers and preschool-age children of working parents.
