March 29, 2019

Disturbance – 6:14 p.m. – 4300 block of Katella Ave. – A female subject inside the store reportedly gave the caller a fake $100 bill and was demanding to get it back. The subject was talking to herself and walked out the front door. Police contacted the female. Counseled.
Malicious Mischief to a Vehicle – 12:57 p.m. – 10000 block of Calle Lee – The caller stated that the company van had its gas line cut. The vehicle was last driven on March 22 and was left locked and secured to the rear of the business. There was no suspect information. No report desired.

March 30, 2019

Health & Safety Violation – 12:21 p.m. – 10000 block of Pine St. – Juveniles were reportedly smoking marijuana in the park.
Suspicious Subject – 4:46 p.m. – 4100 block of Farquhar Ave. – A male subject was reportedly standing on top of a car. The caller advised that he had some of listening device and appeared to be focused on the Joint Forces Training Base. Police contacted the subject and determined that he was locating his falcon via radio frequencies.

March 31, 2019

Smoke Investigation – 12:38 a.m. – Ball/Bloomfield – A resident reported smelling smoke in the area and did not know where it was coming from. It was determined that the source was a bonfire in the backyard of a residence.
Pedestrian Check – 6:07 p.m. – Katella/Ticonderoga – A subject was reportedly in a heated argument with his girlfriend by phone and was yelling vulgarities and making physically challenging and aggressive movements. Another subject walked out into lanes of traffic on Katella out of fear from first subject. The first subject became uncooperative upon contact and was detained via handcuffs. He was released without incident or injury after being extensively counseled.

April 1, 2019

Hazard – 8:06 a.m. – Katella/Los Alamitos – A hammer was reportedly in the middle lanes of traffic.
Forgery Report – 3:45 p.m. – 3900 block of Howard Ave. – A bad check was reportedly written to the reporting party by a suspect trying to purchase furniture via Offer Up. Counseled.

April 2, 2019

Open Door – 11:10 a.m. – 11000 block of Pine St. – The reporting party observed the front door to the location open and a dog outside. The RP attempted to call someone inside and pushed the door open and the dog ran inside. The interior checked okay by police officers. The dog ran outside to the back patio. Police secured as many exterior doors as possible. Police were unable to locate the resident by phone.
Fraud – 1:31 p.m. – 10000 block of Los Alamitos Blvd. – The reporting party advised that an unknown subject tried to pass two $100 bill. The bills were very poor quality and obvious fake. The reporting party kept the money and called the police. The unknown subject immediately left. The reporting party advised there was no loss and no report was desired. THe fake bills were destroyed.

April 3, 2019

Traffic Hazard – 9:47 a.m. – Cerritos/Los Alamitos – A large glass door was reportedly in the westbound lanes west of Los Alamitos Blvd. Unable to locate.
Counseling – 5:21 p.m. – 10000 block of Chestnut St. – The reporting party reportedly received suspicious packages being mailed to her house. The packages contained fake $100 bills and a hidden camera. The reporting party did not know the name on the package and wanted this documented for future purposes. Police advised the reporting party to return the packages to the shipping company.

April 4, 2019

Patrol Check – 10:27 a.m. – 3600 block of Katella Ave. – A male subject reportedly walked into the building asking for money, and employees were fearful. Police were unable to locate the subject.
