April 1, 2019

Pedestrian Check – 12:57 p.m. – 5400 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – Police contacted a subject who was urinating in public. The subject was detained in handcuffs for safety and subsequently arrested for public urination/defecation and a .01+ BAC while on probation for DUI. The subject’s vehicle was towed from the location.
Disturbance (Subject) – 4:18 p.m. – La Palma/Walker – A subject was reportedly creating a disturbance while possibly panhandling. Party advised and will comply. The subject left the area.

April 2, 2019

Grand Theft Report – 2:52 p.m. – 5500 block of Byrne Dr. – $11,000 worth of jewelry was reportedly taken while work was being done at the residence. The loss was two rings. Report taken.

April 3, 2019

Lost/Stolen Property – 6:26 p.m. – 7821 Walker St. (Central Park) – The reporting party reportedly left a cell phone, ID, and credit cards in an Uber after being dropped off at the location. Police made contact with the Uber driver, who answered the reporting party’s phone. The driver came to the police department to return the reporting party’s property.
Identity Theft Report – 10:12 p.m. – 5600 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – The caller reportedly received paperwork from a phone company and a collections company regarding multiple phone lines opened in the caller’s name.

April 4, 2019

Patrol Check – 9:51 a.m. – Coyote Creek/Walker – Police conducted a patrol check at a homeless encampment and arrested a 30-year-old Buena Park subject for possession of drug paraphernalia. The subject was later released on citation.
Pedestrian Check – 3:24 p.m. – 5500 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – Police conducted a pedestrian check on a subject. La Palma Police contacted Buena Park Police regarding a theft from a business in Buena Park. A possible victim was located out of Cypress Police’s jurisdiction. A 38-year-old Boston, Massachusetts, resident was arrested for theft of lost property, receiving/concealing stolen property, and fraud.

April 5, 2019

Pedestrian Check – 12:46 p.m. – La Palma/Valley View – Police conducted a pedestrian check and subsequently arrested a 47-year-old Hacienda Height resident for possession of a masonry bit/etc. with intent, possession of drug paraphernalia, and theft of lost property. The subject was transported to Orange County Jail.
Lost/Stolen License Plate – 6:17 p.m. – Centerpointe – The rear license plate from a BMW 4-Series was reportedly stolen from the vehicle between 7 a.m. and 12 p.m. Report taken.

April 6, 2019

Welfare Check – 3:33 a.m. – 5300 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – Two male subject were reportedly sleeping in a vehicle parked near the front entrance. Police contacted three juveniles who did not want to wake their mother. The subjects were advised to go home.

April 7, 2019

Vehicle Check – 2:26 p.m. – 5400 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – A subject was reportedly asleep at the gas pump. Police arrested a 30-year-old Fullerton resident for misdemeanor DUI. The vehicle was impounded and towed from the scene.

April 8, 2019

Disturbance (Subject) – 1:58 p.m. – Orangethorpe/Centerpointe –A male subject with a sign possibly asking for money was reportedly kicking vehicles in the street. Police arrested 47-year-old subject for public intoxication.
Counseling – 6:04 p.m. – 4500 block of Cambury Dr. – The caller requested counseling regarding a family matter over the grandmother passing and her property. Counseled.
