Long Beach Coffee & Tea to spearhead April 27 fundraiser to benefit Fix Long Beach Pets

Long Beach Coffee & Tea, a popular breakfast and lunch spot in downtown Long Beach, will be hosting an afternoon fundraising event featuring their signature sweet and savory crepes, on Saturday, April 27, 2019 from 2-8pm. Organized by proprietors Tom West and Shannon Francis, funds raised will benefit Fix Long Beach Pets, a local 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that was instrumental in raising funds for the care of severely abused and abandoned puppy Chloe last winter. The event with coincide with Earth Day on Pine.

For this unique social event, guests will be invited to enjoy freshly made crepes while interacting with dozens of dogs available for adoption provided by Fix Long Beach Pets. Adoption applications will be accepted during the event. Chloe herself will be making an appearance with her new pet parents at 5pm, greeting attendees in her kissing booth. Other local downtown businesses will be donating items for an opportunity drawing, all proceeds being donated to Fix Long Beach Pets.

Long Beach Coffee & Tea will also offer a cold brew beverage with donations over $10 made directly to Fix Long Beach Pets during the event. Supporters can follow @longbeachcoffeeandtea on Instagram for announcements of additional activities being added to the event.

“Since the Saving Chloe incident and being animal lovers ourselves, Shannon and I have been supportive of the important work that Fix Long Beach Pets does in working to help animals in need,” said West, proprietor of Long Beach Coffee & Tea. “We’re excited to have this opportunity to invite guests to spend a fun afternoon tasting our delicious crepes and support this important cause at the same time.”
