April 9, 2019

Suspicious Circumstances – 5:04 p.m. – 5100 block of Bridgewood Dr. – The caller reported that he leaves his back door open so that the dog can get out when he is not home. The side gate which was usually closed was now ajar and the dog was running through the neighborhood. There were no signs of forced entry or damage and police were unable to determine a crime beyond suspicious circumstances.
Public Works Information – 8:52 p.m. – Houston/Indigo – A palm tree was reportedly down and leaning against the wall and was also partially laying in a backyard. Public Works was paged and responded, and they removed the tree and cleared the sidewalk.

April 10, 2019

Identity Theft Report – 6:09 p.m. – 7600 block of Carbon Cir. – An unknown subject reportedly gained access to the caller’s computer and took it over. Police determined that there was no crime and no loss and that there was some type of spam account from overseas.
Pedestrian Check – 9:24 p.m. – 7000 block of Moody St. – Police contacted two pedestrians and arrested a 27-year-old Orange resident for possession of controlled substances and possession of drug paraphernalia.

April 11, 2019

Warrant Arrest – 1:09 p.m. – 7792 Walker St. (La Palma Police Department) – A subject came into the police department to inquire about any warrants in his name. The 44-year-old La Palma resident was arrested on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant and transported to Orange County Jail.
Found Property – 7:35 p.m. – 7000 block of Moody St. – A transient reportedly left her property on the second floor. The property was moved to the parking lot.

April 12, 2019

Patrol Check – 5:21 a.m. – 5100 block of Los Encantos Cir. – The caller was reportedly woken up by a subject going through the trash. Police contacted the subject, who was subsequently arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.
Petty Theft Report – 6:41 p.m. – 8200 block of Walker St. – The caller reported the theft of a backpack from a track meet. The loss included a basketball jersey and debit card. The reporting party was advised by the bank that unknowns subjects also opened accounts in the son’s name.

April 13, 2019

Traffic Stop – 2:53 a.m. – 8400 block of Moody St. – Following a traffic stop, the driver was cited and the vehicle left legally parked. The subject walked home to the subject’s residence on Santa Margarita and would pick up the car in the morning with a licensed driver.
Suspicious Circumstances – 6:50 a.m. – 7700 block of Valley View St. – A female subject was reportedly screaming and cussing upstairs. Party advised and will comply.

April 14, 2019

Suspicious Subject – 9:50 a.m. – 5000 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – The caller reported a suspicious subject carrying a hammer near the dumpster enclosure. Police located the subject but there was no crime.
Counseling – 12:55 p.m. – 7821 Walker St. (Central Park) – A female reported a verbal disturbance with her ex at the park. The male half left the area. Checked okay.
