Seal Beach PD investigating Target parking lot strong arm robbery

On Thursday, May 2, 2019, at approximately 2:50 pm, the Seal Beach Police Department received a call of a robbery which occurred in the Target parking lot located at 12300 Seal Beach Boulevard.

The initial investigation revealed that as the female victim was walking through the lot to her parked vehicle, she was approached by a male suspect. The suspect forcefully pulled the victim’s purse from her arm. As a result of being pulled, the victim fell to the ground and sustained a minor injury to her elbow. The suspect was able to free the purse from the victim’s grasp and was last seen running through the parking lot.

The victim described the suspect as a male, approximately 5’06” and weighing 200 lbs. No words were exchanged during the robbery. The suspect was seen by witnesses entering a red Nissan Altima. Officers quickly responded but were unable to locate the suspect or vehicle.

  1. How ridiculous that the Seal Beach Police Department doesn’t tell the public if the perp is white, black, brown, Asian. All we are told is that the perp is 5’6” and 200 pounds, so he’s overweight. I guess when fat people protest, the police won’t even share that description. Going forward, the “woke” police might just say: “Some people, did something.”
