Vehicle Burglary – 9:22 a.m. – 9000 block of Moody St. – The caller reported an overnight burglary of an unlocked vehicle. The loss was a gray cash box valued at $25, with $8 inside of it. Report taken.
Burglary Report – 10:19 p.m. – 10400 block of Christopher St. – The caller reported a residential burglary at the location. Police checked the residence and confirmed that ta burglary had occurred. There was no forced entry and no loss was determined. Report taken.

May 4, 2019

Pedestrian Check – 9:31 a.m. – 6000 block of Lincoln Ave. – Following a pedestrian check, police arrested a male subject for an outstanding drug-related warrant and resisting arrest.
Forgery Report – 1:39 p.m. – 5000 block of Ball Rd. – A customer reportedly brought in and cashed a check for $997, and the check later came back as fraudulent. Report taken.

May 5, 2019

Hazard – 11:04 a.m. – Valley View/Orange – As the reporting party passed the location, his tire popped, and a tow driver told him this had happened to several people. The reporting party requested that someone check the area.
Family Disturbance – 4:43 p.m. – 8600 block of Moody St. – The caller’s brother was reportedly heavily intoxicated and was yelling at the caller’s mother. The subject was counseled and would be sleeping it off.

May 6, 2019

Counseling – 10:40 a.m. – 4100 block of Avenida Sevilla – The caller advised that someone tied fishing wire outside, causing the caller and others to run into it. The caller advised that the fishing line was tangled in her vehicle. Several hundred yards of fishing line was removed from the neighborhood.
Fraud Report – 9:11 a.m. – 9900 block of Basilica Ct. – The reporting party was advised that her Social Security number was suspended, and the subjects needed to safeguard her money. The reporting party gave information and the loss was approximately $8,000 in the phone scam.

May 7, 2019

Fire – 4:45 a.m. – Valley View/Noumea – A small brush fire was reportedly in the center median. Incident handled by OCFA.
Extra Patrol Check – 2:13 p.m. – 5400 block of Katella Ave. – A female subject was reportedly scamming older males in the parking lot. The subject approached elderly males and helped them with their groceries and then sat in their vehicles until they gave her money. The caller assisted a male out of the situation, but he left also. Police were unable to locate the subject.

May 8, 2019

Counseling – 2:41 p.m. – 5800 block of Lincoln Ave. – The reporting party was upset that a subject took her belongings out of one of the shopping carts and threw them away after she left it for three days. The reporting party was counseled regarding a civil issue and referred to CityNet.
