May 1, 2019

Suspicious Occupied Vehicle – 5:37 a.m. – San Simeon/Westra – A subject was reportedly seen dumping trash out of a vehicle. The caller didn’t recognize the vehicle to the area.
Medical Aid – 5:52 p.m. – 5400 block of La Palma Ave. – An elderly man reportedly fell in the restaurant and was bleeding from the head. The subject was conscious and alert. Assisted.

May 2, 2019

Medical Aid – 10:52 a.m. – La Palma/Walker – A subject reportedly fell off a bush bench and did not appear to be moving. OCFA responded. Incident report filed for a fall on City property. The subject was transported to the hospital.
Fraud/Forgery Report – 2:57 p.m. – 8000 block of Hummingbird Cir. – Checks were reportedly stolen from the mail in La Palma and fraudulently cashed in Cerritos. Report taken.

May 3, 2019

Suspicious Occupied Vehicle – 7:52 p.m. – 5400 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – A female subject was reportedly passed out in a running vehicle parked at the location. Police made contact and determined that the subject had never passed out and was only on her cell phone.
Transient – 12:16 p.m. – 7821 Walker St. (Central Park) – A male subject with no shoes was reportedly sleeping near the courts. Party advised and will comply.

May 4, 2019

Suspicious Subject – 1:22 p.m. – Amberwood/Ainsworth – The caller believed that a male subject going door-to-door wanted her to open her door. The subject checked okay and was determined to be an Edison subcontractor alerting residents to a new fee that will appear on the bill.
Disturbance (Family) – 3:20 p.m. – 7700 block of Valley View St. – The caller reported a possible physical altercation with a female aggressor hitting a male subject from the rear passenger seat of a vehicle. Police made contact and arrested a 26-year-old Cerritos resident for spousal abuse.
Indecent Exposure – 6:37 p.m. – Edison Right-of-Way – Teens were reportedly having intercourse on the green belt. Police contacted the subjects, who denied doing anything. Party advised and will comply.

May 5, 2019

Counseling – 8:26 p.m. – 4600 block of Amberwood – The caller requested counseling regarding a friend who took her 14-year-old son without her permission. The juvenile returned home prior to the arrival of police.
Traffic Stop – 10:53 p.m. – Knott/Orangethorpe (Buena Park) – During a traffic stop, police conducted a field sobriety test. A 23-year-old Anaheim resident was arrested for misdemeanor DUI.

May 6, 2019

Disturbance (Subject) – 10:49 a.m. – 5400 block of La Palma Ave. – A male subject in a green van reportedly exposed himself to a customer. Police determined that there was a verbal argument only between the two subject, and no exposure.
Traffic Stop – 11:01 a.m. – La Palma/Walker – When police attempted to perform a traffic stop on a vehicle, a meth pipe was tossed from the vehicle. Police performed the traffic stop and detained two subjects while the vehicle was searched. A 21-year-old Artesia resident was arrested for driving on a suspended/revoked license, destruction of evidence, theft of lost property, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of fraudulent ID property. A 19-year-old Long Beach resident was arrested for destruction of evidence and possession of drug paraphernalia. The vehicle was towed from the location.
