Letter to the Editor: Reboots of iconic television shows

Having grown up with “All in the Family” and “The Jeffersons,” I watched the rebooted episodes from the two Emmy award-winning programs. A few moments here and there were good, but overall the live production could only encourage viewers to find cable stations showing the original programs.

Trying in 2019 to recreate the unique experience of these shows first televised in the 1970s, is ridiculous. Perhaps if the Hollywood elite spent more time focused on entertainment rather than liberal politics, they would not have to go back nearly 50 years for “original” programming.

Since hysterical liberals want to destroy the immortal contributions of America’s Founding Fathers from George Washington to Thomas Jefferson, it’s surprising they didn’t demand a name change to The Jeffersons.
