Patrol Check – 4:38 p.m. – Undisclosed location – A juvenile was reportedly riding a bike on the caller’s property. When the caller told the subject that he was not allowed to use the bike in the lot, the subject became upset and refused to leave and told the caller that he would “jack up” her car. Police were unable to locate the subject.
Counseling – 5:40 p.m. – 6500 block of Ulithi St. – The caller reported that the current girlfriend of the caller’s baby’s father was sending threatening social media messages.

Suspicious Property – 4:02 a.m. – 4900 block of Katella Ave. – The caller reported a suspicious 55 gallon drum full of an unknown substance in the parking lot. Police requested OCFA to respond. OCFA stood by with the unknown substance until Hazmat arrived. Incident referred to Hazmat.
Defraud Innkeep – 12:17 p.m. – 9000 block of Bloomfield Ave. – A cab driver reported that a female passenger refused to pay her fare and went inside her residence. Police made contact with both parties and the female’s family paid the outstanding balance.

Forgery – 3:21 p.m. – 9800 block of Walker St. – A 20-year-old female was reportedly upset over a fraudulent check that the reporting party refused to cash. The check was in the amount of $1500. The ID provided did not look like the female. The female wanted her check and ID back and was throwing things. The female got into a vehicle. Police contacted the female and took her into custody. The female was arrested for fraud and identity theft. The vehicle was left legally parked. The female was found to have an additional warrant out of Hermosa Beach Police Department for vehicle theft.
Counseling – 7:40 p.m. – 9400 block of Valley View St. – The caller was concerned due to ex-tenants who were seen at the location taking pictures of the caller’s vehicle. Management was aware of the circumstances. Counseled.

Transient – 8:32 a.m. – 10900 block of Meridian Dr. – A male transient was reportedly washing himself in the restroom. The caller stated that there was an ongoing issue with the subject coming into the store. Police located the subject and advised him regarding trespassing.
Municipal Code Violation – 8:34 p.m. – 8500 block of Walker St. – Subjects were reportedly cutting metal, possibly pipes, at the location. It was unknown if they were contractors or the residents. Advised.

Municipal Code Violation – 7:43 a.m. – 9900 block of Barcelona Ln. – Construction reportedly began at the location at 7:09 a.m. in violation of the Cypress Municipal Code. Party advised and will comply.
Health & Safety Violation – 6:30 p.m. – 5300 block of Bishop St. – The caller reported that the screen was off of the window to the right of the front door of the residence. The caller said that the residents were doing drug sales out of the house. There was reportedly an ongoing problem with this house and the caller felt like nothing was being done.
