May 21, 2019

Burglary Report – 12:32 p.m. – 5500 block of Fresca Dr. – The caller reported the loss of electronics at approximately 6 a.m. Burglary report taken.
Fire – 4:47 p.m.- Orangethorpe/91 Fwy. – A possible fire was reported near the off-ramp of the 91 freeway near Orangethorpe/Walker. It was determined that some composite inbedding was smoldering. Police assisted with traffic control while OCFA extinguished the fire.

May 22, 2019

Municipal Code Violation – 6:55 a.m. – 5400 block of La Palma Ave. – A truck had reportedly been running in the rear alley since 6:50 a.m. Citation issued.
Area Check – 4:17 p.m. – Walker/Flood Control – A male subject dressed all in black was reportedly in the flood control channel. When officers arrived, the subject flagged them down. The subject fell into the water and officers were able to rescue him. OCFA responded and the subject was transported to the hospital.

May 23, 2019

Counseling – 9:15 a.m. – 5100 block of Del Norte Cir. – The caller requested counseling regarding possible ID theft/fraud. The reporting party provided personal information including Social Security number and bank account number to a potential employer and then discovered that the employment company was possibly fraudulent. No loss at this time. The reporting party was advised to monitor credit and bank accounts.
Citizen Assist – 6:22 p.m. – 7900 block of Walker St. – An elderly male with dementia reportedly wandered into the lobby. The subject’s family was contacted and picked up the subject.

May 24, 2019

911 Hangup – 11:43 a.m. – 5000 block of Houston Ave. – An unknown male subject was reportedly in the backyard playing with the dogs. Police arrested a 29-year-old Los Angeles resident for prowling and trespassing.
Traffic Stop – 7:21 p.m. – Orangethorpe/Walker – Police performed a traffic stop on a vehicle after the driver ran over the center median. The subject began physically resisting the police and was reported to be heavily impaired and intoxicated. An ambulance was requested and the subject was transported to the hospital.

May 25, 2019

Suspicious Subject – 2:59 p.m. – 7900 block of Valley View St. – A female subject had been on the property since 11 a.m. She was reportedly sleeping in front of the restaurant and urinated in the bushes. Police arrested a 70-year-old female subject for a municipal code violation.
Traffic Stop – 9:58 p.m. – Orangethorpe/Walker – Police performed a traffic stop with a paper plate. A passenger was arrested on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant and subsequently released on citation.
Suspicious Circumstances – 10:35 p.m. – 5400 block of Bransford Dr. – Multiple vehicles and subjects were reportedly in and out of the residence, and the reporting party believed that possible drug deals were occurring at the location. Police checked the area and no subjects were seen walking around.

May 26, 2019

Disturbance (Music) – 8:46 p.m. – 8300 block of Sparrow Ln. – The caller reported loud music at the residence. Police responded and issued a first response notice to the resident.
Disturbance (Music) – 10:07 p.m. – 7800 block of Camden Cir. – Loud music was reportedly coming from the backyard of the residence. A first response notice was issued and ten or more illegally parked vehicles would be dispersing.

Counseling – 3:02 p.m. – 7792 Walker St. (La Palma Police Department) – The reporting party requested counseling regarding the at-fault party for a fender bender that occurred in Cypress.
