Seven day local weather forecast for June 09 through June 15 brings typical June glooom in the morning with a sunny afternoon.

Last week’s daytime temperatures in the mid 70s did indeed encourage the first of our homegrown tomatoes to ripen. We happily harvested two Jelly Bean Yellow tomatoes on Thursday, June 6. They were huge (for grape tomatoes), big enough to chop and serve as the topping for a veggie stir-fry that also featured crookneck squash from the backyard. Summer has arrived! (Okay, the summer solstice isn’t for another twelve days…)
