May 31, 2019

Vehicle Alarm – 4:13 a.m. – 10700 block of Pine St. – The caller reported an ongoing problem with the alarm sounding on a vehicle. The registered owner was contacted and he would attempt to deactivate the malfunctioning horn.

June 1, 2019

Traffic Collision – 1:43 a.m. – Katella Ave. – Police responded to a vehicle versus a pole. The driver was possibly intoxicated and the vehicle was swerving prior. When police arrived, the driver was out of the vehicle and stated that he fell asleep at the wheel. The subject had no signs of DUI. The damaged sign that was struck by the vehicle was transported back to the station and placed in the Public Works bay. The vehicle was towed from the location.
Pedestrian Check – 1:46 a.m. – 11300 block of Los Alamitos Blvd. – A petty theft in progress was stopped. The employee did not desire a report and the merchandise was returned. The elderly subjects were all advised regarding trespassing.

June 2, 2019

Drunk – 1:54 p.m. – 10000 block of Los Alamitos Blvd. – A male subject was in the parking lot laying on the ground extremely intoxicated. A car almost hit the subject. Police called a sober driver to pick up the subject.
Suspicious Subject – 10:54 p.m. – 4300 block of Katella Ave. – A male subject stated that the business kidnapped his son. Police contacted the subject and took him into custody following a field sobriety test. The subject was confirmed to have a warrant out of Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office for driving with a suspended license. The subject’s vehicle was towed from the scene.

June 3, 2019

Grand Theft Report – 1:35 p.m. – 3500 block of Cerritos Ave. – Copper wiring was reportedly stolen over the weekend from an electrical substation under construction. The possible loss was valued between $10,000 to $40,000. Report taken.
Pedestrian Check – 11:40 p.m – Norwalk/Wardlow –Police contacted two pedestrians and arrested one subject for an outstanding warrant from LASO-Norwalk for misdemeanor possession of methamphetamine. The subject was cited and released in the field.

June 4, 2019

Traffic Collision – 4:52 p.m. – Katella/Cherry – Police responded to a traffic collision with two vehicles involved and airbags deployed. Tow trucks were requested. Report taken.

June 5, 2019

Disturbance (Family) – 10:04 a.m. – 5000 block of Kearsarge Ave. – The caller’s husband had a stroke the previous year and shouldn’t be driving, per his doctor. He was in a verbal argument with the caller and others in the residence and wouldn’t give her the car keys, saying that he was going to leave in the vehicle to get it smogged. The caller insisted that police hurry as he was in no condition to drive. The husband was counseled by police and advised not to drive due to medical conditions. The subject agreed to be driven by a caretaker.
Suspicious Subject – 6:42 p.m. – 10600 block of Los Alamitos Blvd. – The caller was reportedly concerned about a male subject hanging out in the parking lot of the location. One subject arrested on a warrant out of the Santa Barbary Sheriff’s Office for a stolen vehicle.

June 6, 2019

Counseling – 2:18 p.m. – 10600 block of Oak St. – The reporting party was reportedly scammed out of $1,000 for a grant. The reporting party stated that she sent a money order to an unknown party, who made contact with her through a messaging application. There was no suspect information. The RP was counseled to not send money or personal information to unknown subjects.
Traffic Hazard – 4:52 p.m. – Bennington/Tripoli – A male subject was reportedly working on a bicycle in the middle of the street. The subject was gone on the arrival of police.
