Registration is now open for Orange County Designer Camp! Known as the only comprehensive and collaborative design-based summer camp for young creatives ages 11 – 17, OC Designer Camp will take place this summer from Monday, July 15 to Friday, July 19 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Chuck Jones Center for Creativity at SOCO + The OC Mix.
Students will gain a behind the scenes look at the vast world of design and will learn in an environment that fosters creativity and community. Throughout the program, participants will hear advice from design professionals who have extensive experience in the industry, helping students to discover their full potential and career opportunities for the future. The young designers will explore the worlds of art, beauty, branding, fashion, interior design, photography, and more through a variety of workshops, design talks and behind-the-scenes tours.
OC Designer Camp young creatives will work in teams on a design project that will be presented to parents and the local design community at the end of the week, showcasing the knowledge, passion and experience they’ll take away from the program. Not only will attendees gain valuable tips + information, they will also learn about the importance of social good in design.
This year, OC Designer camp is partnering with The Little Market, a fair trade shop where customers can purchase beautiful homemade products created by artisans around the world, which serves to teach students about ethical design within the design industries.
