All Los Angeles and Orange County Walmart stores and Sam’s Clubs kicked off this year’s Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals (CMN Hospitals) fundraising campaign to help treat local children who are sick or injured. All money raised during the Los Angeles and Orange County CMN Hospitals campaign directly benefits Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and CHOC Children’s to fund critical treatments, pediatric medical equipment, research and charitable care. The Walmart – Sam’s Club CMN Hospitals campaign runs from June 10 through July 7.
“Since we started working on this campaign, Walmart has raised more than $1 billion for the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals,” said City of Industry store manager Allan Paniagua. “Our store is excited to begin raising funds for the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles this year. Families throughout Los Angeles depend on the hospital’s services for care, and we are humbled to help them reach every goal they have for the children they serve.”
To date, Walmart and Sam’s Club associates, members and customers in Los Angeles County have raised $16,769,613 for Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and Orange County Walmart and Sam’s Club associates, members and customers have raised $2,475,595 for CHOC Children’s, most of it one dollar at a time. On a national level, Walmart and Sam’s Club have raised more than $1 billion for CMN Hospitals; the largest cash amount ever raised by one company for a nonprofit in North America.
