June 14, 2019

Trespassing – 12:09 p.m. – 10900 block of Reagan St. – The caller reported a subject in the rear yard of the vacant residence. Police contacted a transient and provided resources. Party advised and will comply.
Fraud Report – 4:05 p.m. – 11100 block of Ranger Dr. – An unknown suspect was reportedly sent gift card information over the phone. There were no leads or suspect information. All the cards had been cashed at an unknown location per the store fraud department. A log number was issued.

June 15, 2019

Citizen Assist – 7:48 a.m. – 10800 block of Cherry St. – Subjects were reportedly jackhammering near the caller’s vehicle and other vehicles. The caller was concerned that something may happen to his car and did not want to move. Unable to locate.
DUI – 6:01 p.m. – Pacific Coast Hwy./Seal Beach Blvd. – A vehicle was reportedly swerving in and out of lanes and not using turn signals. The vehicle was determined to have been reported stolen out of San Bernardino. Two subjects fled on fot at 10th and Electric. Two subjects were detained at gunpoint. Both subjects were taken into custody.

June 16, 2019

Vehicle Check – 4:05 a.m. – 10300 block of Los Alamitos Blvd. – A subject was found to be sleeping in a vehicle. The subject was advised to clear the commercial complex.
Counseling – 9:49 a.m. – 3700 block of Toland Ave. – The reporting parties stated that their neighbor had been verbally abusive towards them and drove down the neighborhood erratically and at high speeds. One stated that she felt like she was being stalked by the subject and said that he walked halfway into her driveway. All the reporting parties were counseled on what constitutes stalking and trespassing. Police spoke with the subject, who stated that he thought another subject was attempting to steal his wifi and everyone was out to get him. The subject was advised not to drive erratically through the neighborhood and antagonize his neighbors. There was no crime at this time, though the subject was advised on trespassing and to not step into other people’s property.

June 17, 2019

Counseling – 10:29 a.m. – 111000 block of Essex Dr. – The reporting party requested counseled regarding possible elder abuse to the RP’s stepmother by other family members living in the residence.
Counseling – 5:04 p.m. – 5300 block of Yorkshire Dr. – The reporting party received a call from what she insisted was her cousin, who said that he was in an accident, broke his nose, and was in jail. The subject said to wire money. The reporting party attempted to wire the money through Western Union. However, they stopped the transaction due to suspicion of fraud. The reporting party requested to speak to an officer.

June 18, 2019

Counseling – 9:08 a.m. – 3800 block of Green Ave. – The reporting party requested counseling regarding possible cameras in the bathroom at the RP’s father’s residence.
Petty Theft Report – 10:18 a.m. – 10900 block of Los Alamitos Blvd. – The reporting party stated that at approximately 3:38 a.m. to 4 a.m. a suspicious male subject entered their patio and stole a plant. Police watched the video surveillance and observed a male subject enter the patio and walk towards the area where the plant was taken. No report was desired, however the reporting party requested extra patrol checks throughout the night.

June 19, 2019

Fraud Report – 8:49 a.m. – 3300 block of Cerritos Ave. – The reporting party stated that he noticed a fraudulent charges of approximately $1301.09 on his business credit card for a British Airways flight. No loss was suffered and the reporting party was refunded by the bank. No report was desired, but the RP wanted to notify the police of the name used on the reservation.
Property Destruction – 4:35 p.m. – 3500 block of Green Ave. – The reporting party found a small box of shotgun shells in his garage and brought them to the police department for destruction.

June 20, 2019

Extra Patrol Check – 4:54 p.m. – Lexington/Katella – The reporting party requested extra patrol checks for southbound Lexington through Katella. The RP stated that the sign says to only go left or right, and drivers were continuing straight southbound and there had been many near-collisions. Beat unit advised.
Citizen Assist – 5:42 p.m. – 3200 block of Katella Ave. – The reporting party requested to talk with an officer about the security of the bus in the parking lot.
