Construction update: Harbor Boulevard partial demolition

 

What
Crews will demolish a portion of the I-405 bridge over Harbor Boulevard.
Where
The southbound I-405 bridge over Harbor Boulevard and Harbor Boulevard between the northbound and southbound freeway ramps.

 

This work will also require lane closures on SB I-405, but not full freeway closures.

Additional Closures:

  • SB I-405 loop on-ramp from Harbor Boulevard
  • NB I-405 loop on-ramp from Harbor Boulevard

Detours will be in place, and signs will be posted to guide motorists around the closures. Motorists should expect delays and use alternate routes if possible.

When

As early as Wednesday, June 26 to Monday, July 1: 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. 
  • NB Harbor Boulevard, the NB I-405 loop on-ramp from Harbor Boulevard will be closed, and the left lane on SB Harbor Boulevard will be closed. 
As early as Monday, July 1 to Tuesday, July 2, and again on Monday, July 8 to Thursday, July 11: 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.  
  • SB Harbor Boulevard, the SB I-405 loop on-ramp from Harbor Boulevard, and the left lane on NB Harbor Boulevard will be closed. 
Detours

NB Harbor Boulevard Detours:

  • Detour No. 1: EB Baker Street → NB Fairview Road → WB South Coast Drive → NB Harbor Boulevard
  • Detour No. 2: EB Baker Street → NB Fairview Road → WB Sunflower Avenue → NB Harbor Boulevard

NB I-405 loop on-ramp from Harbor Boulevard Detour:
Baker Street → Fairview Road → South Coast Drive → Harbor Boulevard straight on-ramp

SB Harbor Boulevard Detours:

  • Detour No. 1: EB Sunflower Street → SB Fairview Road → WB Baker Street → SB Harbor Boulevard
  • Detour No. 2: EB South Coast Drive → SB Fairview Road → WB Baker Street → SB Harbor Boulevard


SB I-405 loop on-ramp from Harbor Boulevard Detour:
South Coast Drive → Fairview Road → SB I-405
