Celebrate art and promote peace with local youth artists

The City of Buena Park’s Community Services Department/Fine Arts Division is proud to announce the upcoming exhibition in City Hall with a returning partnership with Cooperation.Act (Co.Act). Co.Act is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization run by students across the U.S. and Korea that aims to provide emotional and monetary support to students in need around the world. The group provides support by organizing volunteer events, book drives, art exhibitions, and other activities to help achieve their goals.

This year’s theme, “Hand in Hand in Peace,” follows Co.Act’s summer DMZ Exhibition which was held on the border between North and South Korea. This historical event’s goal was to facilitate peace between the two countries and to convey that students working together can make the world a better place for all. Co.Act hopes to inspire everyone who comes to view the show.

A celebratory reception will be held on Thursday, September 5, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. Join Co.Act members in celebrating the show and learn more about their organization.

This exhibition will be on view July 16 through September 5, 2019 in the City Council Chamber at Buena Park City Hall, 6650 Beach Blvd, Buena Park, CA 90622. City Hall is open Monday-Thursday, 7:30 am to 5:30 pm and alternating Fridays. Please call the Community Service Department at (714) 562-3860 to confirm viewing availability before planning your visit.
